Current Projects

Baraboo Library Tutoring Program: Beginning October 23, 2013.  Programs Room, Wednesdays from 5:00 – 6:30 pm — PTK members tutor K-12 local students and help out staff at the Baraboo Public Library. 

Greenbriar Nursing Home Visits: PTK has adopted a local nursing home, Greenbriar, and members visit every month to play games, make music and party with the seniors.
NEXT VISIT: Halloween 2013 at Greenbriar!  October 20th at 1:30 PM.  Contact Marc in the library for directions and/or more information.

Highway A (Adopt-a-Highway) clean up: This event takes place three times per year– once each semester, and once during the summer break.  NEXT PICKUP:  Winter 2013

Honors in Action — Garden Project  We have planted a garden using sustainable methods we learned, and increased our awareness of food issues affecting the world. We are using a technique called “Lasagna Gardening” which involves layering green layers of material (grass clipping) with brown layers (leaves, composted manure)Update, October 2013 — the Honors In Action Garden Project has been placed on hold for the foreseeable future.

Discussion Panel Several PTK members and Adviser Marc Boucher participated in a panel discussion on the subject of copyright in November 2012.
