UW-Baraboo/Sauk County Intramural Hockey Club Constitution

 Preamble:  To present students with the opportunity to learn the game of hockey and participate in a fun environment among colleagues

Article I: Name

The name of this organization shall be the “UW-Baraboo/Sauk County Intramural Hockey Club”, or ‘Hockey Club’ for short.

Article II: Membership

Section 1: Membership in this club shall be open to individuals in good standing with UW-Baraboo/Sauk County and who possess an interest in playing hockey. 

Section 2: Hockey Club shall not discriminate its membership or participants on the basis of age, race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

Section 3: All members are required to provide their own skates, helmets and sticks.  Other equipment such as gloves and shin pads are recommended, but not required.

Section 4:  Checking, slapshots or ‘lifting’ the puck will not be allowed.

Article III: Officers

Section 1: The Officers of this club shall be a President, a Vice President, and a Secretary/Treasurer as provided by the Bylaws, and any other position the club sees fit.

Section 2: A person may not hold two elected offices at the same time. In the event that a person is elected to two offices, he or she must choose to occupy one office and the runner up shall occupy the vacant office.

Article IV: Amendments

This Constitution may be amended at an announced meeting of the club if agreed by two-thirds of the active members voting, provided that the elected officers shall have recommended the amendment, and provided notice to the membership of the proposed change.

Article V: Date
